Our roots begin in 1948, when H.A. Tabary founded what would become Diversified Foods, Inc — initially a rice-trading and export business. 

In 1974, upon Mr. Tabary’s retirement, leadership passed to his son-in-law, Marcel J. Damiens, who expanded the company into rice packaging and commodity trading, laying the groundwork for a broader role in food distribution. 

By 1989, the next generation, Tab Damiens and Michelle Damiens Hennessey, took the helm along with their nephew, Thomas d’Hemecourt (current CEO), guiding Diversified Foods into the modern era of shelf-stable dairy and beverage distribution.

Diversified Foods has evolved from humble beginnings in commodity trading to become a nationwide leader in shelf-stable dairy and non-dairy beverage solutions. Through innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to quality, we bring nutritious, ready-to-drink products to retailers, non-profits, foodservice operators, and families across the country.
