Greetings! I just wanted to send you a quick email letting you know that I love your 130-calorie Hershey's Chocolate Drink product. It is a wonderful snack, and I drink it at least once or twice a day. Besides, it is wonderful to store in my campus dorm for college, as it won't spoil, and the taste is simply magnificent. Don't ever quit making this product. :)
All the best,
Rachel

I am writing to let you know that I and my children are huge fans of Hershey's Chocolate Milk. I buy it buy the carton of 21 - 8fl oz containers.
It is convenient, has a long shelf life and I don't have to worry about it spoiling in my children's lunches that they bring to school. Also, during the winter, I empty two 8oz cartons of Chocolate Milk into a big coffee cup and microwave it for the Yummiest Hot Chocolate EVER!

Finally! A truly excellent shelf-stable milk. Having tried milk and milk-type products over the years (all the way back to the infamous G-Milk of the '70s), it is terrific to find a trustworthy name with a great tasting shelf-stable milk.
I purchased a case at Costco with a bit of trepidation due to my prior experience. I was delighted by your product! I am sharing my experience with all of my family and friends. Keep it up, Hershey's!

Dear Borden; I just want to tell you how much my husband and I enjoy your shelf stable 2% milk product. We buy it in San Antonio, TX. We no longer have milk that sours before we drink it all, and the 32 oz size is perfect for us. And it tastes absolutely delicious.
Thank you for offering such a convenient, tasty milk product in this form.

Your Hershey's reduced fat shelf stable milk has to be the best kept secret, for us, anyway!! A friend told us about it and it has become a staple in our pantry. It's great as we travel quite a bit and there is nothing worse than having to stop for milk on the way home when you just want to get home!! Thanks for this great product...I will try to help get the word out :)

My husband is a soldier serving in Iraq. He's on a medical team and works very strange hours so doesn't always get to eat at the DiFac (dining facility.) This leaves it up to me to keep him supplied with food that he likes and that can be shipped safely. Not the easiest task in the world!
I discovered your shelf stable milk some time ago and thought I would send him some to try. He loved it!! I now send him a gallon a week.
I just wanted to tell you thank you for helping make a soldiers life just a little bit better.
Sincerely, Robin Howard Killeen, TX |

Is shelf stable milk concentrated requiring dilution prior to use? I cannot find this information on your website.
Thanks, Lisa O'Quinn
DFI: Our shelf stable milk is not diluted or concentrated. Just open the container or insert a straw and it's ready to drink. |

I was recently in Florida, and stayed somewhere that used Borden Shelf Stable Milk. I had never seen it before, and thought it was a great idea. There are just times I forget to get milk when I go to the store, and it would be wonderful to have some in the pantry. I wondered how it would taste, but it tasted just like milk!
After returning home, I looked the product up online to see where it was available where I live, as I don't recall having ever seen it. Unfortunately, it appears that it is only available in a few states in the south. Do you plan to expand your market? I would love to buy it if it ever becomes available here in Michigan, and I know others would too.
Just thought I would let you know that it's a great idea and a great product. If it ever becomes available, I will definitely buy it on a regular basis.
Sincerely, Jo Fick Rochester Hills, MI |

Hello, I just wanted to send an email to let you know how much I love the shelf stable whole milk. I am an avid baker and keeping whole milk on hand was often a problem. With the Hersheys milk I always have whole milk and my baked goods taste great.
Thanks!

Your milk product which comes in a Tetra-Pac is refreshingly easy and straightforward to open. Thank you. So many safety sealed packaging efforts fall well short of being convenient and workable. I find some keen frustration with numerous plastic screw-top powder filled bottles as well as others holding medicinal products. They feature a removable foil film beneath the cap which is impossible to completely remove. As an example I'm looking at a small square plastic prescription bottle with a cylinder on top to accommodate a round screw- down cap. The rim on top is slightly grooved, as opposed to simply being flat, and this makes it impossible to completely remove or scrape off the foil that is attached to it. Small pieces of foil break off and fall into the medicine. Almost comically, this screw -down cap ends up always horizontally crooked when it's re-attached to the bottle, no matter how hard you try to make it straight. Also, for reasons unknown, the sides of the sub-cap cylinder feature two square, but tapered opposing protrusions that give the bottle a slight Frankensteinian profile. I have no idea as to why these are on the neck of the bottle. I do know however that they cause an unavoidable scrape to the cuticle area of my left hand middle finger.
Again, sincere thanks for taking the time, spending the money, and having the integrity to provide a quality product for your customers!

I just wanted to send you this email and thank you for your product. My son is in the army and stationed at a fire post in Afghanistan. They are in the middle of nowhere. His camp is referred as camp hell by the news media and there was a story on last week’s ABC news about it. (Not what this mom wanted to hear or see) He misses milk and cereal. We told him we could get boxed milk and send it with pre-pkgd cereal bowls. Of course, stateside he had never heard of that, but was glad to hear of such a product. His 2 boxes with goodies, including boxed milk, went out yesterday. I wish I could be there when he opens them. Of course we sent cookies, too. Nothing better than milk and cookies.!! Again I thank you for your product. I know he will enjoy a bit of comfort and love sent from home.
Sincerely

My Child’s day care recently switched to your shelf stable Milk products. Is this milk from domestic cows? I.e. US Cows or does the milk originate in a different country.
Thanks,

Loved this product. I originally bought for use when we travel without a cooler. When I was in a pinch I used it and it is great! Lasted a lot long than regular milk that I usually purchase. I will be buying more of this.

Just wanted to let you know that our
church has recently joined the Angle Food Ministries and had our very
first Distribution day. Among the food items in our Unit Menu was a
box of Shelf Stable Vitamin D Milk. I have never heard of or seen this
product but was very pleased when I drank my first glass. It is by far
the best tasting milk I have had in a long time. It reminded me of the
milk we used to get as kids. I am trying to find it in our area so I
can buy a case or two of it. We have a small food pantry for helping
those in need and your Shelf Stable Milk will be a great addition to
it. I am telling everyone I see about your products. I am hoping to
try the other Shelf Stable Milks as well.
Thanks

Subject: Shelf Stable Milk
Just purchased another order of milk for the Community Food Bank of
New Jersey; this program is getting rave reviews from our agencies and
they look forward to the monthly purchases. In our new world of skyrocketing
food prices, it’s good to know that opportunities
for quality food at good prices still are in the pipeline.

Rated 5 stars- from Amazon.com post:
Great for sending overseas, March 12, 2008
This is a great product to send overseas for those chocolate milk lovers
because it does not have to refrigerated. And its a lot better than
the milk that they serve over there. I have been buying it for my husband
and sending it to him. He even uses it for his cereal. He loves it.
I would recommend this product to anyone.

Hershey's 2% Chocolate Aseptic (21/8oz case)
Rated 5 stars- from Amazon.com post:
Better and cheaper than the competition, February 23, 2008
Got this for my kids. Halfway through his first box my five year old
announced it was better than the stuff with the cows on it. I agree,
it is better. On top of that, the package contains more cartons than
than the organic product for less money. Of course it's from cows not
treated with rbST. Here are the ingredients: Reduced fat milk, sugar,
contains 1% or less of each of the following: cocoa (processed with
alkali), cocoa, carrageenan, salt, artificial flavor, vitamin A palmitate
and vitamin D3. Chocolate milk is the only dairy product that I think
tastes good with carrageenan in it. Most chocolate milks have it. It's
made from seaweed, has been a food product for centuries, and adds a
nice creaminess to the drink. In short, great product, great price, and great for
the kids (especially when traveling.)

Cheaper than the organic version... Not a great deal, but it is tough

is well worth it. Great product!

Hello, My name is Richard Ansohn, I
am currently serving in Iraq and was made aware of you shelf stable
milk. I am trying to find out if there is a way I can purchase this
product directly from you, or if there is a way for you to send several
case's to us. We have several soldiers here who also are trying to get
this product, and milk is not a readily available item here. Any information
you can give me would be very helpful.
Thank you for your time

I am the BackPack Program Coordinator
for America's Second Harvest of Kentucky's Heartland Food Bank and we
use the shelf-stable milk in our backpack food bags. It is a wonderful
product and the children love it. Our program is increasing tremendously
and the need is greater. The concern is that we won't have the funds
available to continue purchasing this product. It is so important to
include the milk for the calcium and also to accompany the cereal put
in the bags. A2H appreciates having access to such a great milk source
that doesn't require refrigeration. Just wanted to let you know how
important the milk is and how it is being consumed. It is servicing
many children on weekends who might otherwise doing without. Thanks
for producing such a stable product.

We received the milk today and I would like to tell you what a fantastic
product it is. The texture and taste was outstanding. I tried it warm
because that is how some of the students would be consuming it. Very
nice!!

I am in the army and currently serving
in Iraq. One of my soldiers received several cases of your milk shipped
from his wife. I was able to try your root beer and vanilla flavored
milk and I loved it. I have drank the flavors of milk that the army
has purchased from your company and I have enjoyed those flavors also.
Before I deployed I was able to let my children sample the chocolate
and strawberry milks and they liked them too. I have a couple of questions.
How can I order your milk and how much does it cost? Would I be able
to order and pay on line or would I have to call? Does your company
ship to APO addresses? Thank you for your product. I would also like
to say that the boxed milk that the servicemen and women are getting
in the dining facilities over here do not even compare to your product.
Thank you for your time.

I have a couple questions concerning
the transport and storage of UHT milk-
1. We live in Texas and it gets very hot during the summer months, we
will be transporting UHT milk fairly short distances (20 miles at most)
in non-refrigerated vehicles from one location to another throughout
these hot summer months, is this okay. All of the information I have
read just says stays good at room temperatures?
2. If the product is refrigerated, but not opened, can it then be stored
at room temperature again without going bad?

DFI: Our Shelf Stable (UHT)
Milk products are able to withstand temperature variations wonderfully.
Putting the product on shelf then in the refrigerator back and forth
causes no harm to the product as long as the product remains unopened. |

During last year's hurricane in Palm
Beach County, we were given water, milk, crackers and ice, etc to get

would like to stock up on these small milk containers, for the next
outage or hurricane. It tasted great, is so convenient ...

I just had to comment on your milk
product which comes in the small square carton. It's 2% milk in the
blue container. Anyhow, I live here in Lake Charles, LA. Hurricane Rita
hit here last year, & we were handed out food stuffs & etc.
I drank your milk for the first time just after the hurricane ... I
fell in love with the taste. I was just given about 15 small cartons
of the milk since first trying it last year. These 15 cartons had an
expiration date for this past July (2006), but I tried them anyhow with
no disappointment. I drank the last one this a.m.. I had to comment
on this milk product of yours ... There's no comparison with the milk
products here down south. You would think that it'd be better down here
but it's not! Is there anyway that I could get milk from you in the
future if it's feasible? Please let me know.

I recently received a carton [quart]

carton how much like "real" milk it tasted especially when
I noticed that the shelf life was way beyond "regular" milk

Hello DFI, I am a soldier in Iraq and
would like to purchase your shelf stable milk. The milk they supply
us here with is just plain nasty and we just can’t seem to get
used to it. Some soldiers receive shipments from loved ones but it there
is a weight limit in the boxes they send so they receive a few containers.
Please let me know if there is a possibility of bring some of home here
in Iraq.
Thank you

Hi, I am Spec.
Robert Coulter (Bobby), and I am writing about some milk that I recently
received in a care package. The package touted an improved pasteurization
and a package that eliminated the need for constant refrigeration. I
had my doubts about it, but was glad to try it. We are stationed in
north-central Iraq and we do get some milk, but it is all evaporated
milk and nothing like the milk we all enjoy at home. I found your email
address online, and I just wanted to write to say a few words of thanks
for developing a product that tastes so much more like fresh milk, but
in a form that can be shipped overseas and enjoyed by us. I recently
enjoyed one of my favorite treats, chocolate chip cookies and milk.
Others here preferred to enjoy their cereal without using powdered milk,
but all around it was a big hit.
