| DESCRIPTION: |
Lactose,
a sugar found in milk and dairy products affects an estimated 20%
of adults. By adding Lactase (a natural enzyme) this sugar is converted
to another form that is safe for lactose intolerant individuals. Our
product is 100% lactose free.
All of our milk is a Grade A milk procured from local family-owned
dairies. Borden’s Milk is aseptically processed under Ultra
High Temperatures (UHT). The UHT process enables our milk to remain
fresh with or without refrigeration for 12 months from production
date.
Borden products are naturally
produced without artificial hormones from cows not treated with rbST.
Recombinant bovine somatotropin rbST (also known as recombinant
bovine growth hormone rBGH) is a genetically engineered version
of a natural growth hormone found in cattle that increases milk output
from cows. As the furor over the use of rbST continues you can rest
assured knowing Borden has mandated their farms are certified "rbST
free" and that Borden products are from cows not treated with
the rbST growth hormone. |
