Borden Shelf Stable UHT Milk

Borden shelf stable UHT milk is real Grade 'A' milk that has all the vitamins and nutrition of conventional pasteurized milk and is ready to use. Borden shelf stable UHT milk can be stored for months at room temperature before being opened. Once the package is opened it requires refrigeration. Borden shelf stable UHT milk is aseptically packed in a Tetra Pak® container that can be treated as a flexible can and includes a 'Best Used By' date stamped on the label. Borden shelf stable UHT milk flavors include Strawberry and Vanilla (available in an 8oz size for kids) as well as Whole, Low Fat Regular, Low Fat Chocolate and Skim. Borden Vanilla shelf stable UHT milk is also great with coffee. Remember: 'If it's Borden's - It's got to be good!'.

What is UHT Milk?

UHT stands for Ultra High Temperature pasteurization and packing. Applying this special process produces milk that will be fresh and natural for several months without refrigeration. UHT milk has extended shelf life (shelf stable) and is sometimes called long life or extended life milk also. No preservatives are added. Once the pack has been opened it must be refrigerated. UHT milk is a perfect choice for breakfast, school lunch, hiking, biking, camping, travel, food storage, emergency preparedness, and disaster response.

Naturally Produced Without Artificial Hormones*

Borden shelf stable UHT milk products are naturally produced without artificial hormones from cows not treated with rbST. Recombinant bovine somatotropin rbST (also known as recombinant bovine growth hormone rbGH) is a genetically engineered version of a natural growth hormone found in cattle that increases milk output from cows. As the furor over the use of rbST continues you can rest assured knowing Borden has mandated their farms are certified "rbST free" and that Borden shelf stable UHT milk products are from cows not treated with the rbST growth hormone.

*No significant difference has been shown between milk derived from rbST-treated cows and non rbST treated cows.
